Always...Patsy Cline

starring Madeline golden & Jessica Horton

Written by Ted Swindley. Directed by Pattye Archer. Based on a true story.

Patsy’s Life Through the Eyes of an Adoring Fan.

Always…Patsy Cline is more than a tribute to the country artist.  Based on true events, it gives you an inside look at her personal life through her enduring friendship with an adoring fan—a friendship that started in a Texas honky-tonk in 1961 and continued until Patsy’s death.

This musical play, complete with down-home country humor, true emotion and even some audience participation, includes many of Patsy’s unforgettable hits such as “Crazy”, “I Fall to Pieces”, “Sweet Dreams” and “Walking After Midnight”— over 20 songs in all!

The show’s title was inspired by Patsy’s numerous letters, which she signed “Love Always…Patsy Cline.”

Rustle up your seats SOON!  Judging from early sales at every venue, this is sure to be an audience favorite!

Madeline Golden

"Louise Seger"

Madeline has ALWAYS been CRAZY about this show and is thrilled to return to the role of Louise in Always, Patsy Cline. She first saw the production in Jackson nearly 40 years ago and immediately hoped she might one day have the opportunity to be part of this beautiful story of friendship, music, and laughter.

“What a wonderful blessing the role of Louise has been. She is a larger-than-life character, but one with real heart.”

An award-winning actress, Madeline has received multiple Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress honors at the state and regional levels. She has also been part of two productions selected to advance to the American Association of Community Theatre’s national festival.

Louise is one of Madeline’s favorite roles—which is truly saying something. She has made the stage her home away from home, appearing in more than 90 productions with Starkville Community Theatre and Golden Triangle Theatre. Some of her other favorite roles include Vera in Smoke on the Mountain and Sanders Family Christmas, Sonia in the award-winning Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, Vernadette in The Dixie Swim Club, Violet in 9 to 5, and Lucrese in the world premiere of Paper Thin.

Madeline believes theatre makes the world a better place and understands the extraordinary power music can have in our lives. She is grateful to the Silver Eagle Band for being so wonderful, to Pattye for the opportunity to bring Louise to life once again, and to Jessica for sharing her remarkable voice, spirit, and joy.

“Come on in, sit right down, and make yourself at home!”

Jessica Horton

"Patsy cline"

Jessica first saw Always, Patsy Cline, starring the incomparable Mandy Barnett, with her grandfather at the Ryman Auditorium when she was 11 years old. For the singer-songwriter, who was raised on classic country and gospel music, the experience was life-changing and helped shape the performer she would become.

A compelling vocalist and songwriter, Jessica seamlessly blends vintage soul with classic country, gospel, and touches of rock. Her musical roots were formed by the timeless songs of artists including Kitty Wells, Patsy Cline, and Hank Williams.

Jessica began releasing music in 2019, with many of her singles gaining recognition on Southern Gospel and Christian Country charts. In 2025, she joined a three-day tour opening for country artists Ronnie McDowell, Jeff Bates, Tony Jackson, and members of the Coral Reefer Band. The tour concluded at the historic Ellis Theatre, home of Marty Stuart’s Congress of Country Music. Most recently, she just returned from a 7 week residency at Dollywood and has been nominated for three Josie Music Awards that will be announced in September at the Grand Ole Opry.

Her 2024 debut appearance alongside Madeline in Always, Patsy Cline reignited her love of acting and made returning to the role especially meaningful.

“This is such a wonderful full-circle moment for me. I could not ask for better partners in this experience than Madeline and Pattye.”

Jessica hopes you enjoy the show. As Patsy once said, “The one thing I wanted to do more than anything else was sing country music.”
