The Soulful Voice Reviving Classic Country

From Columbus, Mississippi, award-winning singer-songwriter and entertainer Jessica Horton brings a powerful, soulful voice to the timeless sounds of classic country, gospel, and Americana. Inspired by legends like Kitty Wells, Patsy Cline, and Hank Williams, Jessica began performing at just three years old alongside her grandfather, lovingly known as “Pop” Jess, who taught her guitar and piano. Their performances in schoolhouses, opry houses, and festivals sparked a lifelong passion for preserving traditional country music.

Jessica went on to study at Mississippi University for Women, earning a degree in vocal performance and music education. In 2018, she began working with Dennis and Leslie McKay of M.A.C. Records, launching a recording career that would span multiple albums, charting singles, and songwriting honors. Her debut project, Both Feet In (2019), produced several Top 10 Christian Country singles and earned her the SGN Scoops Sunrise Artist of the Year award. Her 2021 single “I Have a Friend” reached No. 1 on the SGN Scoops Bluegrass Chart.

With more than 30 original songs released, Jessica's catalog includes Let Go (2020), Songs That Raised Me (2021), Communion (2025), and Old Churches and Wildflowers, a collaboration with Lauren Stewart and Henry Hilliard. Her artistry has earned recognition in multiple songwriting competitions and, most recently, Female Vocalist of the Year (Multi-Genre) at the 2026 Josie Music Awards.

Beyond the recording studio, Jessica has shared the stage with acclaimed musicians and country legends, including Trey Hensley, Rob Ickes, Ronnie McDowell, Jeff Bates, and Tony Jackson. In 2024, she brought the legendary Patsy Cline to life in the theatrical production Always... Patsy Cline. The production's success led to an ongoing touring show, showcasing Jessica's remarkable ability to honor one of country music's most beloved voices.

In 2026, Jessica continued expanding her reach as an artist in residence at Dollywood's Flower & Food Festival, performing throughout the spring as part of her Wildflower Tour. Her appearances with The Silver Eagle Band further reflect her versatility as a performer and her dedication to keeping the spirit of classic country music alive for new generations.

Whether performing onstage, writing heartfelt original songs, or celebrating the music that shaped her, Jessica Horton brings authenticity, warmth, and a deep love of musical storytelling to every performance.
